While writing about @MeCo_ICE, the founder of @MemeCore_ORG, I noticed that some people are confused about the part where I referred to him as a core contributor, so I thought I would clarify this. To be precise, he is a co-founder.
In MemeCore and @MemeX_MRC20, the official titles used are mainly Founder or Co-founder. In Korean, this translates to 창업자 (founder) or 공동창업자 (co-founder). For C-level positions, they are indicated using the three letters C (CMO, CSO, etc.).
However, there are also individuals who operate under various titles that are not exactly founder or representative. This can be seen as a way to enhance meme culture or community alignment. Let's take a look at some typical titles.
- Core Contributor: This is usually used for those who participate continuously without holding exclusive leadership. Generally, you can think of it as C-Level, and they are typically representatives in their respective fields who make key decisions. Projects like Solana and OpenLedger use this.
- Janitor: Even for core founders, this implies that they must maintain all incidents and issues that arise. This title is used by figures like Anatoly from Solana and the representative from Injective.
- Intern: Even if they are C-level founders, due to the nature of startups, it is a self-deprecating expression that implies they must do whatever is necessary, similar to an intern.
- Chief Meme Officer: This title is sometimes used for those responsible for viral marketing and meme culture. This seems to be a necessary position in MemeCore? Haha.
- Builder: This is used to emphasize contribution rather than a specific title or authority, and it is commonly used in the Ethereum and Solana ecosystems.
The reason for these movements seems to stem from the operations of crypto companies that are close to startups, where decentralization and egalitarianism are emphasized. Some reports suggest that they avoid using titles like CEO or representative to evade regulatory oversight, which can also be a measure to strongly convey the feeling of a decentralized project.
In particular, using terms like Janitor or Intern to denote C-level positions, along with humility and meme elements, can be seen as a reflection of the somewhat rebellious nature that still exists in crypto.
So....
When we say "the intern is working hard" on our public account, it often means that the CMO is actually the one managing things rather than the intern doing it directly. Haha. So thinking of it as an intern might lead to situations where the project CMO is being pressured. Haha.
@MeCo_slofi, is this enough explanation? Haha.

Here’s a summary of the core message from MeCo of MemeCore.
Around last evening, Meco, a key contributor from @MemeCore_ORG, mentioned various things including @MemeX_MRC20, and I will summarize briefly.
- There have been too many failures and games of liquidity extraction from the market. Most see retail investors as liquidity exits.
- Looking at incidents like FTX and Luna, there has been a serious liquidity bleed.
- To prevent such movements, it was determined that an independent L1 is necessary, which led to the launch of MemeCore.
- Currently, we are pushing forward for PoM (Proof of Meme), and various projects are building together. (From my perspective, this includes the creators of MemeX who are launching and managing the MRC-20 Token.)
- I believe that MemeX, onboarding through large rewards, and the upcoming major offline events will create and unify the community.
That’s about it.
In reality, while MemeCore is based on memes, it is trying to show a very philosophical approach in various aspects. There may be debates on whether that philosophy is right or wrong depending on one’s perspective, but personally, I always hold it in high regard.
1. It shows based on financial power and action.
2. This does not necessarily mean success, but starting from a different starting line increases the possibility.
3. It’s more important who is doing it rather than what is being done, so we need to look at the teams of each MemeCore.
4. The most important reason I still support MemeCore is that I have seen @moana_web3 directly engaging with the community.
5. I hope that whatever happens, the offline event preparations go well, and I also hope that the MemeX website, trading competitions, and utilities related to stM from staking are all prepared and launched one by one.
