'Feeling the 'wall' for small accounts in Yapping directionโ๏ธ
I believe many Yappers have felt the 'wall' of large accounts while Yapping so far.
You might have thought, "I've written 100 posts, so why are the influencers who have only written 3-4 posts ranked higher?"
I'm not here to give you the obvious answer, like, "Large influencers have a difference in effort and reputation built over years. So, work harder!"
What I want to share today is how you can still beat them, "despite everything."
Humans can't easily defeat giants, but with a 'three-dimensional maneuvering device,' you might have a chance, right?
In this article, we will explore what that 'three-dimensional maneuvering device' is for small accounts.

0. First-Mover Advantage - This is actually everything
You've probably heard about first-mover advantage so much that it now sounds like a clichรฉ, but it is extremely important.
As I explained in this article, mindshare is divided among N people every day at 100%. Therefore, to capture a high mindshare, the size of N is incredibly important.
No matter how small your account is, in a project where only 10 people are Yapping, you can capture more than 5% of the 100%. However, in a project with 1,000 people Yapping, even large accounts find it hard to capture 1%. For small accounts, capturing even 0.1% is naturally difficult.

1. Numerical Example
Let me explain how big of a difference this makes with a numerical example.
- Mindshare captured when 10 people are Yapping: 10%
- Mindshare captured when 100 people are Yapping: 1%
- Mindshare captured when 1,000 people are Yapping: 0.1%
To catch up with the initial 10% by later gaining 0.1% each day, you would need a consistent 100 days of Yapping (!!)
Writing one post takes about the same effort whether you do it early or late, right? So, you should write a good post with genuine effort at the beginning. Posts written after receiving hype are essentially just maintenance.

2. Graph Example - @Dkeidididid8x8
Let's visually check this through a graph created by @HodlethKR.
This chart shows the mindshare graph of small account user hasik.
Hasik is currently ranked 30th in the fiercely competitive @MemeX_MRC20 Kaito leaderboard. For an account with around 1K followers, this is a dream ranking.
If you look closely, you can see that from 6/23 for three days, he captured an impressive 17%, 4%, and 3% of mindshare. This was possible because there were only 7, 7, and 36 Yappers during those three days.
However, after 6/28, as the number of Yappers in MemeX increased to thousands, Hasik's mindshare naturally dropped to an average of 0.1%.
To catch up with the 24% mindshare gained in the first three days at a rate of 0.1% per day would take a whopping 240 days (!!)
Despite the daily mindshare acquisition dropping to 0.1%, hasik has firmly maintained his 30th position.
This is what we call the first-mover advantage.

3. How to Seize the Advantage
"Once you think you can onboard Kaito, make sure to write a post."
Even if it's just a possibility and not a confirmed onboarding, you should write. So, how can you predict how to onboard Kaito?
1) Follow the @KaitoAI account / @Punk9277 account and set notifications
2) Follow experts (recommended: @Hope_web3_, @beingRich2000, @jundeu00)
If you follow these people well, I believe you can get alpha information faster than anyone else. Alternatively, you can do your own project research.
Your post doesn't need to be of incredible quality, nor does it need to receive massive engagement. The post that earned hasik 17% mindshare had only 7 likes and around 400 views. But it was very quick. (Note:

4. Conclusion
There are various ways to increase mindshare, such as engaging with rankers and riding the citation train, but the key is not to forget the concept of โfirst-mover.โ
Especially if you are a small account, no matter how much you try to increase your mindshare, it will only go from 0.1% to 0.2%. Someone who captured 10% on the first day with one post can never be caught up to (!)
Of course, there are still opportunities in projects that are vacant. This is because there aren't many Yappers yet. But once hype has been received, it becomes difficult.
Don't get caught up in short-term mindshare growth. It will only drain your energy. If you approach Yapping strategically,
Short-term - Seizing the advantage / Targeting vacant spaces
Long-term - Strengthening the influence of your account
I recommend approaching it this way.
Are you ready to catch the giant?
