<Story, Gaining New Momentum> A new figure has joined @StoryProtocol, which is reshaping the content industry through IP tokenization. He is Sandeep Chinchali, a professor at UT Austin and an expert in AI, robotics, and distributed systems. Sandeep Chinchali, a former NASA researcher, studied generative AI and cloud robotics at Stanford, and is currently a professor at UT Austin, dealing with autonomous driving and distributed machine learning models. During his research, he installed black boxes directly in vehicles to collect real-world data, analyzing rare scenes known as 'long-tail' events. He deeply realized the importance of data quality and scarcity by labeling this data and training lightweight AI models on deep learning TPU hardware. In the process, he posed a question to himself. "For AI to function properly in reality, it needs quality data, not just models. And to collect that data voluntarily, an effective incentive structure is necessary." He found the answer at Story. @StoryProtocol defines data not merely as a resource but as IP, and is building an on-chain reward system. "I register a rare driving scene captured by my dashcam on Story, and a friend labels it. Based on this, AI creates synthetic data, generating connected IP at each step, and royalties are automatically distributed to all contributors." As the Chief AI Officer of Story, Professor Sandeep Chinchali will lead the overall AI strategy, on-chain learning data infrastructure, and the design of a distributed data reward system.
