The Berachain core team completed the development of embedding the key BGT allocation mechanism in PoL into the execution layer in just a few weeks.
This has been natively integrated into the bera-geth and bera-reth clients.
This feature will soon be launched on the mainnet!
🧵Some details for developers.
Left image: The upgraded beacon-kit, with only minimal necessary modifications to the Engine API during runtime.
Middle image: The running bera-geth, supporting unique native transactions (enshrined tx).
Right image: A new block from Berachain, ✨✨ which contains confirmed PoL native transactions and relevant data written into the block header.

This is the PoL native transaction:
- Unsigned, automatically sent by the system address
- Consumes 0 gas!
- Used a new transaction type ID: 0x7E
- Logs and transaction receipts are retained, so it remains compatible with all existing tools!

This transaction, as a native and gas-free transaction, is a significant breakthrough!
Robots no longer need to pay to package this transaction, and the BGT allocation ensures that every block is executed, while validators can update their reward distribution in real-time.
We are moving towards a more efficient PoL economy 🫡
