Currently, Arbitrum's sequencer is managed from a single center.
As for the Decentralized Sequencer:
Block production and sequencing will be done by multiple actors. In the event of a failure, the chain will maintain its durability. If this is achieved, Ethereum will create an L2 model that is closer to L1 security.
Enterprise companies don't like "centralized systems". While Arbitrum is already the leader in terms of institutional TVL: If it becomes a decentralized network!! So if it establishes a security system close to ETH....!
Institutional funds, DAOs, VCs build stronger protocols on Arbitrum!!
Institutions such as Blackrock and JPMorgan prioritize "fully decentralized" networks.
Robinhood didn't choose Arbitrum for nothing! Arbitrum is the first L2 to be decentralized.
On the other hand, there are no decentralized squencers on other L2s, nor are their roadmaps clear. The earliest Arbitrum will move to this stage is L2.
According to the team's roadmap, by the end of 2025, Arbitrum will be the first fully decentralized L2. It's unclear if the others will even be able to pass. Arbitrum will run to the lead!
Monitor ARB's price performance after ETH ATH. This is the development that will lead to the $50 of ARB that started this decentralized L2 revolution.
