pumpfun's revenue is not extraction
extraction is when someone launches something, sells you on a product or idea, collects your money, and then doesn't meet the promises they made when they collected money
pumpfun isn't forcing anyone to use their platform
they were first movers with great product market fit
people launched memecoins on Solana prior to pumpfun
and people would have continued to launch memecoins on Solana with or without pumpfun
yes, there is now the issue of over-dilution of tokens which has made the market harder to trade and spread liquidity out
when you go to the store and buy a drink, you pay $3 if you want it and you get a drink
when you go to launch a coin on pumpfun, you pay $3 if you want to launch a token and the token goes live
if you don't want the drink, don't buy it
if you don't want the token, don't buy it
it's hard for me to see why people keep saying "extraction" when it's simply revenue from a product that people use on a daily basis
