Monza – Upgrade to Improve Network Performance Movement
Monza is a major upgrade for the @movementlabsxyz system, helping to improve network latency and stability. This is an important step in decentralization and enhancing the operational efficiency of the network.
1. Improved Latency
Previously: Latency was around 12 seconds, due to the asynchronous processing – transactions had to wait for Celestia to create a block (~5 seconds) before being executed.
Now with Monza: Latency has been reduced to just ~1 second, thanks to the restructuring of the data processing mechanism (DA – Data Availability). Transactions are processed simultaneously and sent to the full node for parallel execution.
2. Full Node Upgrade
Before Monza: Transactions could only be sent through the leader node.
After Monza: Transactions can be sent through third-party nodes ⇒ Increasing decentralization and reliability of the network.
Thanks to reduced dependence on the leader node, the Movement network is now more stable and smoother.
