[OVERTAKE Yapping Contest Round 2] Q. What is the vision and future plan of the Overtake Marketplace? I thought the first round of the contest would be the hardest, but the second round of the @overtake_world contest was also quite challenging for me, as GameFi was unfamiliar. Participating in the AMA sessions happening every day this week, while studying alone and organizing my thoughts, has led to a lack of sleep and physical exhaustion. So, as a novice in GameFi and a crypto newbie, I will share my thoughts on this contest. → As I am organizing my thoughts while studying as a beginner, I would appreciate your understanding if there are any shortcomings. 1. The 'sustainable growth potential' of the gaming asset trading market itself Through the three OVERTAKE AMAs I've attended, I've become familiar with the term GMV (Gross Merchandise Value), and I have a vague understanding of the buyback mechanism of the $TAKE token, as well as what roadmap the Overtake team has regarding the royalty loop. → My fundamental question here was, what is important for the GMV of the Overtake Marketplace? The first thought that came to mind was the 'size of the industry/market itself and its sustainable growth potential.' According to a report I found on this topic, the online gaming asset trading market is expected to reach about $3.6B by 2024, and the long-term growth potential of the industry is viewed positively. 2. OVERTAKE's 'brand value and competitiveness' within the industry If the size of the gaming asset trading market is significantly large and its growth potential is guaranteed, how meaningful of a position can the Overtake Marketplace establish within this market? I thought this would be a key challenge. ① OVERTAKE Marketplace (-ING) º Main customer base (Seller & buyer): Gamers º Open beta service period: June 25 onwards º A market where clear demand for web2 gaming asset trading occurs º As a representative dapp of the Sui ecosystem, focusing on a revenue structure based on real demand → Currently, only PoE2 and Lord Nine are available, but there are plans to expand the game product line and target more users in the future. ② TakeShop (SOON) º Expected customer base: Not only gamers but also various creators (Sellers) For TakeShop, I haven't been able to see a concrete version yet, so I speculated as follows. If the Overtake Marketplace is a place where gaming asset trading occurs, I thought TakeShop would target a broader range of Sellers. 3. Representative use cases of $TAKE after TGE (e.g., Sui Dex) I heard detailed explanations about the $TAKE token utility and buyback mechanism through the AMA, so I imagined how $TAKE would be utilized in the Sui ecosystem DEX. A representative example is @MMTFinance. º Adding $TAKE as LP pair assets and Vault deposit assets In particular, I think Momentum, with a TVL of about $173M, is a notable DEX in the Sui ecosystem, so I believe there will be a connection regarding the utility of Overtake $TAKE assets. 4. The philosophy of Overtake and the stories to be told in the future I enjoy examining the processes of successful people and the philosophies behind them. I believe that the philosophy of an individual or a company serves as their 'mental pillar and compass.' Of course, one cannot succeed solely based on a good philosophy, but when elements such as ① good philosophy ② good products based on it ③ strong supportive partners ④ the growth potential of the market itself align, the likelihood of a project's success increases. Looking at OVERTAKE's product philosophy, the following points emerged: º Principles User-first: Focus on real problems users face, not personal ideas or nice-to-haves. º Sustainability: Creates incentive systems where both the company and users naturally contribute to growth. º Simple UX: Prioritize ease of use over flashy design, so simple even your grandma could use it. Participating in the OVERTAKE project felt like I was in the same boat with this team, as I sincerely reflected on all the history and materials and contemplated the potential for future growth and vision.
