In C2C trading, choose how often you're asked to verify your trades. Verification codes are sent via passkeys, email, SMS, or authentication app.
Verification is required in the following scenarios:
Sell crypto
Release crypto
Create/Edit/Active ad
Edit payment method
Edit C2C transaction time-base

When selling or releasing crypto in C2C trading, you may be required to complete two-factor authentication (2FA). This security measure helps prevent unauthorized access to your account and prevents your crypto from being released by someone else, helping protect your account, assets, and C2C transactions.
How do I enable, disable, or configure C2C trading verification?
On the App
Open your OKX app, go to C2C trading > Profile > Settings > Verification code preferences
Select your preferred option, including Never, Every 4 hours, Every 12 hours, or Always
Select your option and complete the security verification to save your settings.
On the Web
Open the OKX official website, go to Buy crypto > C2C trading
Go to My profile > Settings > Security > Verification code preferences
Select your preferred option, including Never, Every 4 hours, Every 12 hours, or Always, then select Confirm
Select your option and complete the security verification to save your settings.
Important Note: setting verification preference to Never may increase security risks to your account. Please proceed with caution.
