@Ethereum raised gas limit to 60M ahead of Fusaka
Block gas limit was raised from 45M to 60M, expanding base-layer throughput just days before the Fusaka upgrade. The change passed after a majority of validators signaled support, enabled by recent client optimizations and new safeguards like EIP-7623.
Yearn’s $yETH exploited, attacker mints infinite tokens, drains $9M
Yearn’s yETH LST index was hit by a complex exploit that let an attacker mint near-infinite yETH, drain its pools and wash 1,000 ETH (~$3M) through Tornado Cash.
Total confirmed loss: $9M across yETH stableswap pools. Yearn says V2/V3 vaults are safe, the bug was in a custom stableswap contract, isolated from other products.
