Fun story: Back in ~2019 I researched lending platforms and also came across the original ETHLend. The concept seemed intriguing, and eventually I looked up whether they had already launched a token. I found LEND at a market cap of ~$5M and thought this couldn’t possibly be the correct token... I didn’t find a way to properly verify and buy it during my session that day, as this wasn’t my focus anyway. Yes, I missed out on AAVE at a $5M market cap, despite being ready to ape. ☠️ Moral of the story: If you believe something is too good to be true, take the time to verify it, because it might actually be true.
