This makes me so depressed. Why is X trying to show new users only a few users? It should be suggesting entire lists of entire communities to new users to get them into communities that interest them. That would make onboarding new users much better and get them deeper into X than just suggesting a few users. By the way, on Thursday my "X birthday" I will celebrate 18 years here. Onboarding of new users sucks. Try setting up a new account and you will see the problem very quickly. For 18 years lists have been an under utilized resource here. They are the most powerful way to follow an entire community and it sucks that X hasn't figured that out. @nikitabier get new users into COMMUNITIES of users and they will stick around far more than if you just suggested a few people.

@heyruchir Individual users aren't enough. Not nearly enough. And what you want is a TON of signal for the new algo to pick from. New users get shown the most toxic crap because the algo has no signal to choose from. A list they are interested in is far far better than just a few users.

Funny @Grok can't even use lists. It sees an "error" when it attempts to read the lists. Which shows it hasn't yet been hooked up to X's own list infrastructure. So can't give great answers to questions about who on a list is best to follow. Grok needs to be hooked up to lists. Then it will become far far more useful.
