My friday rant: Zcash is not the future. The idea itself, having dedicated, isolate chains with no smart contract functionality with one asset is just too retro. Any chain, which does not allow to core asset to be traded on that chain, is outdated. Any chain without stabelcoins on it is outdated. If you have some way to be able to compute, with exotic opcode, where you need a math genius to figure out stuff you will always lose to general purpose virtual machine link EVM. Nobody will ever use zcash to pay, as nobody is using btc to pay. Monero found its niche, and maybe zcash can be a competitor in this niche. But not sure if you want to be in that niche? Zcash is a meme coin right now, feels like Bitcoin Cash tried to flip BTC. Just a new shelling point for crypofluencer to dump on retail. And remember restaking?
