$PONS dropped from $0.97 to $0.41—fundamental problem or just a retracement?
I dug into the numbers. Compared with Sept. 1, price is only down ~7%, but daily fees fell from $4.56M to $1.2M and volume dropped ~80%. New issuance also fell sharply.
The key point: buybacks are still active. 30% of fees go to the protocol, and 80% of that is used to buy back and burn $PONS.
Fundamentals have weakened, but the buyback mechanism is still running. $PONS
