Why is Micron talking about refunds when it has received cash?
$MU Micron disclosed that the cash margin from strategic customer agreements is listed under financing activities and does not increase its free cash flow.
Funds in place and operating earnings are accounted separately. These margins can improve cash arrangements, but after meeting procurement conditions, refunds are involved. They cannot be treated as realized, permanently retained profits just because the bank balance increases.
