Everyone keeps asking if altseason is here. I think they're asking the wrong question.
Every time someone asks me, "Is this the start of altseason?" I ask them one thing first:
Where's the new narrative?
The last major runs in $ETH and $SOL weren't fueled by hype alone. They had fresh stories driving new capital—L2s, memes, AI agents, RWAs—each taking turns to capture attention and liquidity.
But what about now?
This rebound has seen most mainstream altcoins move together, yet none of them have a compelling new narrative that's attracting meaningful incremental capital.
Without a fresh story, a rally is often just short covering.
It can rise fast...
And it can fade just as quickly.
In this kind of market, there's no need to rush into altcoins. Protect your ammo and wait for the market to give you a real reason to deploy it.
