FTX collapsed.
One of Solana’s biggest investors.

Gone — in real time — while he was 30,000 feet in the air.
Imagine landing and discovering the ecosystem you’ve been building for years just had the floor ripped out from under it.
But here’s the part that stuck with me: Solana didn’t panic.
Why?
Because back in 2018, while the entire market was dropping 10% every week, Solana stayed lean.
They didn’t over-hire.
They didn’t over-spend.
They built with discipline when everyone else was building with dopamine.
So when the storm hit, they had runway.
They had resilience.
They had conviction.
And that’s a lesson for every founder:
📉 Markets collapse.
🔥 Competitors blow up.
🌪️ Black swans happen mid-flight.
But if you stay disciplined when times are good, you won’t be destroyed when times get bad.
Survival isn’t luck.
It’s preparation.
