I got into this when ETH was at $72.
I’ve felt the rush of Bitcoin going from $2k to $20k in the span of only a few months.
I was on the rollercoaster of month to month swing trading as BTC consolidated that move. It ended when the floor dropped out from under it taking BTC from 6k to 3k overnight. The game felt like it was over. The government had finally won.
We stand here almost exactly 7 years later now. Bitcoin is over $100K and ETH is $3500. Objectively, we won and the government trying to shut all this down, ban it, cast stigma, etc lost.
In that time we’ve seen the block wars fights, the rise of defi, infamous collapses, and the creation of some of the most important culture of our age.
On every metric, we are better now than we were before. More friends, more institutions, more opportunities to get others interested.
If you’ve made it this far then congrats!! You’ve survived. Sometimes that’s all you have to do. Everyone here that seems successful has a story of getting ruined but somehow scraping by.

Crypto is for those who see beyond.
Years from now people will call us lucky.
But it wasn’t luck. It was pain.
Years of the markets taking its tolls.
Lower your time preference.
Stop paying attention to the noise.
