If it’s done right and the community’s happy, we could easily see a mini memecoin season and liquidity rotate from BSC to Monad.
What i have seen over the years is most new L1s don’t fail because of tech but they fail because of how they distribute tokens early on.
It sets the tone for price action, community health, and who actually sticks around after the initial hype fades.
Imo if Monad gives a large share to top yappers and card holders, it’s a sign they’re just buying influence.
That helps marketing short-term, but those tokens usually hit the market fast and tbh, that’s how most chains end up ghosted.
If they reward testers, contributors, and real builders, it builds alignment.
Slower start maybe, but much stronger foundation.
The numbers floating around:
- FDV: $8–$10B in pre market
- Airdrop: ~5% = $400M–$500M
- Eligible wallets: ~10K–15K
That’s roughly $25K–$35K per wallet, maybe more for top players..
Sounds cool, and yeah I’m a Monad card holder too
but I’d rather see real contributors and supporters win than just yappers who farm engagement all day with 0 value adding content..
Tomorrow will tell us what kind of L1 @monad really wants to be.
