Been meaning to talk about the new meme $GOAT on @avax for a while. It dipped to 300K ytd, and I felt it was a good time to finally talk about it.
Then I went to a JJ's concert, and then I woke up, it had already bounced back to 700K 😅 That’s on me—got lazy.
Anyway, here we are. $GOAT launched a few days before the AVAX summit last week. I first bought in at 1M, didn’t sell at 3M, and then kept buying down to 300K.
Here’s why I’m bullish:
1. Team is transparent – It was launched by @TonyRiggatoni from the well-known AVAX DEX @Pangolindex. The launch was on @TheArenaApp, a social app just for the AVAX community, similar to @farcaster_xyz, and they recently added a token feature.
2. Pangolindex team has been shilling openly, like @erd866x, and Tony is super active every day.
3. Not seeing any KOL shilling yet – doesn’t look like one of those pre-pumped projects with a bunch of paid callers. Though @CryptoKaleo has talked about it a few times already.
4. It’s aiming to be a meme coin with actual revenue, currently planning to do it through mini-games.
5. @AIVAonAVAX is about to launch – if that brings back some of the hype from AVAX presales a few months ago, overall liquidity on the chain should improve. That’s good for small projects like this one that are actually building.
All in all, with Pangolin and Arena backing it, $GOAT has some real footing in the AVAX ecosystem.
Plus, Arena’s community vibe is giving me flashbacks to when I got into Farcaster’s $DEGEN at 20M and held it to 1B. (Not saying $GOAT is anywhere near $DEGEN's level yet—still a long way to go—but it’s got potential.)
A few things to keep in mind before jumping in:
1. You should like AVAX’s slow cook pace and long-term building style.
2. Liquidity is thin on AVAX right now, so small caps like this swing hard (can drop fast, but also pump fast).
3. Be ready to hold for a bit, not a quick in-and-out play.
4. If I posted this last night at 300K and you asked if you should get in, I’d say "go for it." But now it’s already 2x in the short term, so you’ll need to judge if you're okay with the risk. Could drop back to 300K—or shoot straight to 1M and not look back.
