About BlockchainQuantumSecurity

AI-assisted math research may expose weaknesses in some proposed cryptography, while future quantum computers could threaten BTC and ETH signatures. No practical break of these signatures has been shown. NIST has issued post-quantum standards, and a US Energy Department quantum contest offers up to $215M in planned funding. Ethereum and Bitcoin developers are exploring upgrades; Coinbase has outlined key-management work. How can networks plan safe wallet migration and protect older addresses?

Quantum risk is not an emergency trade signal: the source says no practical break of BTC or ETH signatures has been shown. The harder issue is operational. Post-quantum standards and upgrade research matter only if wallet migration can reach older addresses without turning key management into a new failure point. Preparedness should be measured by migration paths, not headlines. #BlockchainQuantumSecurity

Justin Drake and Vitalik just told the whole crypto industry to go into "bunker mode". The reason is simple. AI math may break ECDSA, the signature that protects every Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet, before a quantum computer even exists. And the "quantum safe" lattice schemes most chains are betting on may be next. Only one thing survives that: hash-based signatures. Live today, not on a roadmap. And this could become one of the main topic in blockchain actually after RWA $NEAR and $ALGO picked lattice. $STRK accounts still sign with ECDSA. Zcash has no post-quantum signatures at all. But, Nervos $CKB is already there. SPHINCS+, pure hash-based, live on mainnet and audited. Your public key stays hidden behind a hash by default. New schemes can be added anytime without a hard fork. Market cap: around 80M. Listed on Binance and OKX. Why so cheap? Because this narrative is four days old and the market is looking at bigger names. Nobody has connected the dots yet. One chain already meets the standard and sooner or later the market has to price that…

🚨 AI + QUANTUM COMPUTING: IS BLOCKCHAIN SECURITY READY? Vitalik Buterin has highlighted how AI-driven research could accelerate the discovery of cryptographic weaknesses, while quantum computing poses a long-term threat to BTC and ETH’s existing signature systems. 🔐 The industry is preparing: • NIST has published post-quantum cryptography standards. • Ethereum is researching quantum-resistant signature $BTC $ETH $ZEC #BlockchainSecurity #QuantumComputing #AI #CryptoMarket #DailyOrbit

VITALIK WARNS AI MAY CHALLENGE CRYPTOGRAPHY Vitalik Buterin said AI could uncover weaknesses in current cryptography, including quantum-resistant systems. He highlighted lattice-based methods and noted hash-based approaches may suit some cases. He did not urge users to rush into new wallets; unused addresses may limit public-key exposure for certain wallet types. Please do your own research carefully before making any transactions (DYOR). $AI $ETH $BTC #CPIPPIHikeWatch

Q-Day was already a serious threat. Now add AI to the equation. Let me explain why this changes the timeline.

just checked an old address i still control after reading that warning about AI math potentially cracking ECDSA sooner than actual quantum hardware. most of the fixes people float still boil down to “move the funds.” that almost never happens for anyone sitting on dormant coins... @Americanfort_io published a construction this week that skips the move entirely. ZKPoSP replaces the normal elliptic, curve signature with a zero knowledge proof. it proves that you hold the seed and the full BIP32 derivation path behind an address that already exists. format stays the same. coins stay put. the security rests only on SHA 256, SHA 512 and a hash based proof system, no remaining curve assumption. QBIP 32 covers both secp256k1 and Ed25519 the same way... i keep going back and forth. no forced migration is the only version that could ever reach existing holders at any real scale. but generating the proof still takes seconds. if a wallet doesn’t make that completely invisible, the same people who never moved will never generate the proof either. the bottleneck was always the human, not the math. they said as much on stage at Token2049. still reading it next to the name layer they already have running... different problem, same instinct about reducing friction instead of adding steps. have you looked at any of your older addresses with exposed public keys and decided whether a proof is worth waiting on, or are you just leaving them? @Americanfort_io

Compliant privacy on public blockchains isn't a feature, it's the missing primitive. @MehowHacks takes the stage at @token2049 on Oct 7 to make the case: privacy and compliance aren't opposites, and the chains that prove it will carry the next wave of real-world adoption. If you're in Singapore, come say hello. #TOKEN2049

The future of Bitcoin isn't only about price. It's about whether the technology protecting it can keep up with the technology changing around it. AI is accelerating. Quantum computing is advancing. And at the center of the conversation sits one unforgettable number: 1,096,361 BTC. Maybe it's just history. Maybe it's a future question. Either way, we should start asking before we need the answer. Make the number impossible to ignore. @1096361BTC 🟠 Proof of Viral.

Notes from “Quantum Tech Happy Hour” at SF Tech Week: - People won’t ever have quantum phones, as the technology is not meant to be consumer-friendly - Quantum is meant for exploration beyond our imaginative limits, such as new drug discovery - Quantum technology (not necessarily computing) is already widely used, such as MRI scans - Quantum computing and AI are not competing technologies because quantum is based on physics and AI is based on data - Quantum computing’s ChatGPT moment will be Q-Day, when a quantum computer breaks major encryption. - Major roadblocks for quantum computing: - Qubits are too fragile - Quantum advantage needs to spread to more use cases, such as drug discovery. Major gap between research and productization.
