Investment Risk
The performance of most crypto assets can be highly volatile, with their value dropping as quickly as it can rise. You should be prepared to lose all the money you invest in crypto assets.
Lack of Protections
Crypto assets are largely unregulated and neither the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) nor the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) will protect you in the event something goes wrong with your crypto asset investments.
Liquidity Risk
There is no guarantee that investments in crypto assets can be easily sold at any given time.
Complexity
Investments in crypto assets can be complex, making it difficult to understand the risks associated with the investment. You should do your own research before investing. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Concentration Risk
Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Putting all your money into a single type of investment is risky. Spreading your money across different investments makes you less dependent on anyone to do well. A good rule of thumb is not to invest more than 10% of your money in high-risk investments.
Five questions to ask yourself
- Am I comfortable with the level of risk? Can I afford to lose my money?
- Do I understand the investment and could I get my money out easily?
- Are my investments regulated?
- Am I protected if the investment provider or my adviser goes out of business?
- Should I get financial advice?

ZetaChain FAQ
Dive deeper into ZetaChain
ZetaChain is a new omnichain L1 blockchain with fully chain-agnostic interoperability focused on unlocking access across assets of different blockchain infra, for easier onboarding of mass retail users. Apps deployed on ZetaChain can access assets from any chain, including Bitcoin, from one single place. Dapps on ZetaChain seamlessly interact with other chains, ensuring future-proofed applications that remain compatible with upcoming chain connections.
How does ZetaChain work
ZetaChain’s integrated ZRC-20 token standard allows Omnichain Smart Contracts to control native assets on any chain — even non-smart chains such as the Bitcoin network. Therefore, developers can easily deploy contracts that control native Bitcoin together with other desired tokens from other chains. Bring Bitcoin into the broader Defi ecosystem in one step.
With ZetaChain’s EVM module and the new ZRC-20 Standard, developers can create and deploy Omnichain Smart Contracts that control native assets and data on any chain. These contracts can be called from external chains and generate outbound transactions on external chains including even the Bitcoin network.
Contracts on any connected chain can send data and value to other contracts on other chains through ZetaChain’s Connector contracts. ZetaChain’s cross-chain messaging also lets you build value-transfer apps that don’t create new wrapped assets and risk for users. Implement "sender", "receiver" and "revert" functions to get intuitive, traceable, and revertible behavior so your users don’t get stuck or risk their funds.
Frequently asked questions about Zetachain (Zeta)
- What is ZetaChain?
ZetaChain is both a layer 1 (L1) blockchain and a smart contract platform with built-in connectivity to all blockchains and layers. It is the only public blockchain with smart contracts that can manage assets, data, & liquidity on any chain, even ones that don’t have native smart contract capabilities, like Bitcoin.
- How secure is ZetaChain?
ZetaChain uses a simpler and more robust trust model, where only their network is trusted to deliver data/value, vs. a third-party. On ZetaChain's decentralized proof of stake network, no single node has knowledge of any private key. ZetaChain can sign and hold assets natively, and funds at rest are never at risk. Since ZetaChain uses ZETA as an intermediary token in the process of sending assets, attack surface is minimized, drastically reducing security risk for users.
