MYBW has witnessed the deep interaction between the public and private sectors. Government departments, including the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) and the Ministry of Digital, have a positive vision for Malaysia's bright future in the Web3 industry and engage in substantive discussions on its role as an industry leader in the region.

MOSTI's commitment to establishing Malaysia as a regional digital hub for blockchain technology aligns with its ministerial strategic objectives and will further solidify Malaysia's reputation as one of Southeast Asia's most promising blockchain and Web3 hubs, underscoring its commitment to fostering an open and forward-thinking digital economy. This goal is accompanied by the official launch of Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure (MBI) during MYBW2025.

"This is the essence of MADANI's vision in Malaysia: innovation meets compassion, progress is guided by trust, and technology benefits all levels of society. The relevance of blockchain in finance, supply chain, halal traceability and public services is increasing. - Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) YB Chang Lih Kang and

Minister of Digital YB Gobind Singh Deo also attended the Blockchain Industry Roundtable to discuss the unprecedented opportunities that blockchain brings to the country. In a closed-door meeting, the minister sat down with industry giants and thought leaders to deepen their understanding of the strategic path that sets Malaysia apart.

"I emphasize the need to truly understand the opportunities ahead for the local blockchain industry, as well as the challenges that must be addressed, in order to create an environment that is truly conducive to growth, innovation and investment." – Minister of Digital YB Gobind Singh Deo

The roundtable laid out the milestone coordinates for Malaysia's future direction in blockchain technology, covering key areas such as potential action plans in the near future. The government's commitment to develop and implement appropriate policies and strategies that complement the existing ecosystem over the next five years will propel Malaysia to the forefront of the global blockchain revolution – a sign that the Malaysian government also sees the potential of this thriving industry.
