9 things you must know before touching monad on day 1
1. learn the tools before you learn the coins
monad will have its own explorers, rpc quirks, bridges, testnet dashboards, and early infra. people lose money not because of rugs but because they donβt understand the environment they are playing in.
moreover, you can check everything out in the post i qted.
2. follow signal, not celebrities
loud accounts will shill you into traps on new chains. follow people who explain liquidity, patterns, and frameworks. ignore noise that adds zero value.
3. donβt chase everything
new l1 szns always create fomo. most early tokens die within days. limit yourself to a few ecosystem plays, a couple of asymmetric punts, and one builder bet.
4. watch liquidity, not marketcap
marketcap on day one means nothing. liquidity tells you if you can exit without being eaten alive by slippage. thin pools destroy both entries and exits.
5. verify contracts before buying
most early rugs depend on people not checking anything. confirm mint authority, freeze functions, owner privileges, trading pause, and liquidity state. it takes seconds but saves your capital.
6. prepare for ultra pvp
new chains attract the smartest hunters and the fastest scammers. assume the first pump is bait, the second pump is distribution, and a third pump is rare. trade with survival in mind.
7. take asymmetric bets, not gambling bets
if you donβt want to trade full time, take positions that wonβt ruin you if they go to zero. join early projects, help with community, learn onchain analytics, farm testnet incentives, or support new infra. small risks, high potential upside.
8. donβt ignore the builders economy
someone will create the next major infra project on monad. you donβt need to chase random tokens. being early with builders often pays more than buying charts.
9. study past ecosystems so you avoid repeating mistakes
base, solana, sui, aptos, avalanche⦠all share the same cycle: early gold rush, memecoin mania, heavy rugs, then consolidation. monad will rhyme with all of them. your job is to play with awareness, not blindness.
iβve used these 9 principles every time a new ecosystem launched, including arbitrum. they helped me avoid mistakes, catch early opportunities, and stay level headed.
that being said, good luck to everyone getting ready for @monad day one.
and congratulations to @keoneHD for giving crypto bros new opportunity.
