this isn’t the top, far from it. the lower sale that followed wasn’t a real market reflection, it was the result of someone overextending with a loan and being forced to offload their piece. that’s not price discovery, that’s liquidation. the difference is huge. my sale was a clean, voluntary exchange between buyer and seller. the “half-price” sale was distressed, an artifact of leverage gone wrong. if anything, it proves how valuable these assets are, because even under duress, someone was ready to step in and buy. i actually think @gondixyz offering loans against VV assets is a net positive, it shows confidence in their cultural and financial value. access to liquidity without selling strengthens the ecosystem. the recent dip in Checks’ floor is more about ETH’s price movement and some holders choosing to take profits than anything to do with the collection itself. floors react to liquidity and macro shifts but that doesn’t define the cultural or long-term value. Bittersweet letting go of my single check after holding it for over 700 days. I curated it on Day 100, a personal milestone. Sure, it marked the highest Ξ and USD sale for a single check till date, but it was never just about the W.
This piece carried emotion, time, intention, and capital. There wasn’t a grand strategy behind selling my prized possession at this point, just life. Half immediately wiped my debt clean. The other half, reinvested straight back into @visualizevalue.
