Hedera was selected by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission as a blockchain infrastructure provider for FRNT, the first U.S. state-issued stablecoin.
FRNT is fully backed by U.S. dollars and short-term Treasuries, with surplus reserves, and aims to improve public sector payments.
Hedera was chosen for its speed, fixed low fees, carbon-negative design, and enterprise-grade governance, aligning with Wyoming’s regulatory and technical standards.
Interest earned from the FRNT program will fund Wyoming’s School Foundation Program, linking digital finance directly to public education.
