BTC yield will grow 10x due to Babylon. Phase 3 will shock the market.
During the TGE, Babylon didn’t gain much traction. Many dismissed it as just another farming project, losing faith in its long-term vision. That, however, is a critical mistake.
Babylon was not created to be “just another farm.” Its mission is to generate yield for BTC holders.
At mainnet launch, the yield sits at 0.5%—sourced entirely from $BABY token inflation. Critics see this as a weakness, failing to realize that the Babylon chain is not the final product, but rather the monitoring and control layer for the entire protocol and its future backbone, BSN (Bitcoin Security Network).
And here’s the key: BSN hasn’t even launched yet. Its release is scheduled for Q4 2025.
Already, 10 projects have confirmed their BSN integration, and I’ve estimated the potential returns using the following methodology:
- BSN revenue share: 10% of revenues distributed to BTC stakers
- TVL assumption: $5.6B in BTC
- Sui, Manta, Osmosis: yields from staking rewards (native tokens)
- Union: based on $100M network valuation and 10% staking rate
- BOB: last year’s network fees, assuming ETH = $2,500
- Corn, Plume, TAC, Birdlayer: extrapolated 12-month fees, with ETH = $2,500 and BTC = $100K
- NodeOps: rewards based on project revenue
The results: the first 10 BSNs alone deliver 1.15% APR, with Sui as the largest contributor.
But that’s only the beginning.
- Cosmos and Sei are set to join later, adding another 0.63% APR.
- 15 more networks are already approved for BSN, which, at an average of 0.1% APR each, could bring 1.5% APR.
- Additional Cosmos-based networks could contribute another 0.5% APR.
- The Babylon chain itself continues to generate 0.5% APR.
Total projected yield: 4.28% APR within one year.
And there’s more upside. Once Babylon enters Phase 3 and BSN is fully live, its valuation could easily 2x or more, pushing real BTC yields above 5% APR.
Crucially, this projection does not account for:
1. New BSNs under negotiation
2. Future networks yet to be created
3. Potential major players like Sui, Sei, or Cosmos
Babylon has the potential to deliver 4–5% sustainable yield for Bitcoin - and it may arrive faster than most expect.
