For transaction sending, to make things clear: All transactions take the SWQOS route, utilizing our validator's bandwidth. We have consistently reduced this cost to make it widely accessible. Some apps and traders (the “trench warriors”) prefer to bid and route through Jito for faster inclusion. In response, we launched Helius Sender with regional endpoints, ultra-low latency, and support for tips. The new backrunning endpoint is entirely optional and does not affect the above two routes in any way. Re: Backrunning Profitable backrunning will occur if opportunities arise regardless of what your app or RPC provider tells you. They happen through side deals with apps or providers running a trading desk in parallel (check onchain). Think of what Flashbots and Jito aim to do: return value to users and cut down on toxic MEV. That’s precisely the principle we’re following. We don’t ration SWQOS bandwidth or charge more for faster inclusion when it’s unnecessary nor do we want to keep you in the dark about what happens with the transaction flow.
