[Why did OVERTAKE choose the Sui Network?]
--------------------------------------------------
1. Support from SUI
OVERTAKE pivoted to a P2P marketplace based on @SuiNetwork in March this year, aiming to serve as the infrastructure (market) that connects game publishers and users within this ecosystem.
Sui is actively investing in various areas such as grants, marketing, and infrastructure support in the gaming and Web3 asset sectors, which likely made it an attractive option for OVERTAKE.
2. The presence of SUIPLAY 0x1
One of the key projects currently being promoted by @SuiPlay is SUIPLAY 0x1, which has sold out a total of 10,000 units, and it is reported that deliveries are currently underway.
About 70 games are waiting to be launched based on Sui, and the games that onboard to SUIPLAY 0x1 are highly likely to connect with @overtake_world.
Once OVERTAKE's SDK is applied to Sui-based games, users will be able to transfer and deposit items through in-game transactions without the need to directly exchange items, making trading between users much more convenient.
3. Demand for Takeshop
Recently, OVERTAKE announced that it would support P2P transactions not only for in-game assets but also for various personal transactions.
If games successfully launch on SUIPLAY 0x1 and the perception that gameplay can 'make money' spreads, the demand for devices will increase, and personal transactions will likely become more active.
Transactions between users in the same country carry relatively low risk, but when overseas transactions are necessary, safe mediation is essential. In this case, the on-chain escrow market supported by Sui could play an important role for OVERTAKE.
With this in mind, I thought that the first testing ground for OVERTAKE's Takeshop might arise due to SUIPLAY 0x1, and I wonder if the timing of the Takeshop's launch was somewhat considered in relation to the delivery schedule of SUIPLAY 0x1.
--------------------------------------------------
In summary,
While the core of OVERTAKE is the on-chain escrow P2P market through the Sui network, choosing Sui also seems to be an important reason considering the synergy with SUIPLAY 0x1.

Today, I had lunch with a marketer from another project, and it made me rethink about @overtake_world's Yapping.
Right now, it's a bit of a mess with the re-sign meta, and I'm not sure what kind of Yapping we should do. Previously... they did a fantastic job dividing the week at Mantle. Seeing that, I thought... I want to hold a separate event. It's definitely not because we have leftover coffee gifticons from the last Masil x OVERTAKE event... Anyway,
Also, 0.5% will be allocated to 50 people, and the rewards will be tastier than expected?! Moreover, KB from OVERTAKE BD has hinted that there are about two weeks left. Even if you can't grab the Yapping rewards, just click on one post and take some coffee~~~
[1st Yapping]
Topic: Why did OVERTAKE Marketplace choose Sui instead of other chains?
Period: 8/8~8/10
Reward: Starbucks Americano
I won't decide how many total rewards there will be! Please feel free to write and link it in the comments of this post. I will read each one and select well-written posts to send rewards via DM.
(For those who write really well... I will try to sneak in some Takumi WL from my team)
(I'll also subtly engage with the official account, as I think it has a positive effect on the Mashe.)
