Here’s a big news that may have flew under the radar today:
@Azuki worked with @Crunchyroll in making their booth in Anime Expo
You may say, oh it’s just a booth design. Cool.
But I see it differently. The fact that they’re in contact AND working together is HUGE
Here’s why:
1️⃣ Most obvious reason: Crunchyroll is one of the biggest Anime platforms in the world. It has 120Mn subscribers (17Mn of which are paying subscribers). It also has 1000+ titles and 45K+ episodes under its belt
2️⃣ From a BD perspective, I see this collab as something that signals that Azuki is already establishing good relationship with Crunchyroll. Based from experience, great collabs start from something small. Yes, it can start from just making an art for your booth
Working with Crunchyroll can bode very well for Azuki & $ANIME. But I wouldn’t jump into conclusions on what it can look like just yet.
This will definitely be something to watch tho
