From the first day Whiz joined Azuki, you could tell she immediately elevated the brand, the community, and the team. Such a high caliber talented (and kind) person!
My first true interaction with her was over a bowl of hot ramen noodles for the Azuki x Patrick Mahomes stream.
Wish you the best @whizwang in your future endeavors, keep having fun, and being great!
See you in LA next month!
After three unforgettable years, this is my last day at Azuki!
I’ve known both @Zagabond and @LocationTBA for over 20 years, and it’s been amazing to be part of the success of Azuki with old friends at the helm. I appreciate the trust that was put in me to help build a brand with so much cultural impact in the crypto space, and I’ve grown so much as a leader and builder over the last three years.
Along the way, a few moments that stand out:
> Spearheading BD across web2 and web3, working with the F1 team Red Bull Racing, LINE FRIENDS, Arbitrum, Zora, Flashbots, and more
> Worked on the $ANIME TGE (as a contributor to the Animecoin Foundation)
> Collaborating with amazing infra partners like @Arbitrum and @Conduitxyz
> Representing Azuki on Bloomberg twice and at conferences around the world
> Meeting hundreds of community members across Asia, Europe, and the United States
The Azuki community is truly one of a kind. I’ve been lucky to share so many meaningful conversations and stories with you in person. Thank you for your warmth, hospitality, and support. I won’t forget the many beautiful experiences exploring the local food scenes across Asia with the community: kaya toast and chili crab in Singapore, roast goose and dim sum in Hong Kong, Pyongyang cold noodles and KBBQ in Seoul, and so much more!
But what stands out most are the memories with the team. Many of you were longtime friends and classmates before we ever worked together. These are memories I’ll always carry with me, from hours-long whiteboarding sessions in our first office (which was someone’s apartment), to late nights and weekends perfecting launches, to fitness competitions in the LA office, philosophical coffee chats, marathon karaoke sessions in Koreatown, and everything in between.
After nearly 10 years in crypto, across two TGEs and countless launches, I’m taking a couple of months to recharge before jumping back into the arena. I’ll still be attending crypto events in New York and working on a new podcast spotlighting crypto builders in NYC, the crypto capital of the world (coming soon!).
I’ll be cheering Azuki on from the sidelines! The crypto space has been my home for almost a decade now, and I have never been more energized about what’s ahead.
With love,
Liz ❤️
