British Reform Party leader Farage plans to push the "Crypto Bill" to build the UK into a global crypto hub
PANews reported on May 29 that, according to Bloomberg, British Reform Party leader Nigel Farage announced at the Las Vegas Bitcoin Conference that he would promote the "Crypto Act" if in power, proposing to reduce the capital gains tax on crypto investments from 24% to 10%, set up a two-year regulatory sandbox, and prohibit restrictions on crypto payment services. The move is intended to appeal to crypto-friendly voters aged 18-34, on par with Trump's crypto-style stance. The Reform Party has now surpassed the ruling Labour Party in the polls. Farage called cryptocurrencies a peaceful rebellion against "centralized government control" and opposed the Bank of England's proposed CBDC "Britcoin".
