Reactive Alternative #2: Gelato
Today, we continue with the second installment in our four-part series exploring various interoperability and automation solutions that share similarities with Reactive Network. Our goal is to help users better understand what each solution offers, the pros and cons of each, and—most importantly—how they compare to Reactive Network.
What is Gelato?
Gelato is a decentralized automation protocol that executes smart contracts on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains using a network of bots. It allows developers to offload backend automation tasks, removing the need to build and maintain custom solutions.
The protocol takes a share of gas fees from each automated transaction, which are distributed among bot operators via its DAO. Users commonly rely on Gelato for services such as debt automation, yield farming, and limit order execution.
