the obvious use case for zkps is privacy
the much less obvious use case is speed, esp given proving costs are still high/slow
it will make more sense with @0xMiden and @RiscZero over the next year, as anyone can execute and attest to a proof rather than full state
Proud moment for @bobbinth, @schmiddominik1, @azeemk_ and the rest of the Miden team – successful incubation, seed funding, Agglayer connection, and planned native airdrop to POL stakers.
In near future people are going to refer Miden as the best snd probably final iteration of blockchains. Unlike Solana, Sui and Aptos who have a fixed ceiling on TPS, Miden can support potentially infinite TPS by supporting client side proving. It also supports opt-in privacy.
These are some of the sharpest minds in ZK, pioneering a new category of blockchains: paradigm edge blockchains, enabling horizontal scaling for developers, powered by STARK-based proofs in the MidenVM.
Polygon believed in their vision early on, and I’m so excited to see it stand on its own with support from @a16zcrypto, @1kxnetwork, and @hack_vc and many others.
Miden will move forward as a separate project but remain with a deep connection to @Agglayer, helping bootstrap network effects and airdrop to POL stakers to incentivize Agglayer support.
