How xAsset works
When you transfer an eligible asset from your OKX Exchange account to a supported blockchain, you will automatically receive the corresponding xAsset on that chain.
If you deposit an xAsset back to your OKX Exchange account from a supported chain, the equivalent underlying asset will be credited to your account.

FAQ
xAsset bridge the gap between your OKX exchange account and the onchain world. There are two types:
Wrapped assets (such as xBTC, xETH, or xSOL) are tokens securely issued by OKX, each fully backed 1:1 by native assets in our custody. They represent your digital assets on supported blockchains, giving you the freedom to explore various DeFi ecosystems. When you withdraw eligible assets to a supported chain, you’ll automatically receive the corresponding xAsset. To redeem your original assets, simply deposit them back to your OKX account.
Wrapped staked assets (such as xBETH or xOKSOL) represent digital assets you’ve staked through OKX. By wrapping your staked assets, you’ll receive a liquid version that can be traded, moved onchain, and used across DeFi. These tokens allow you to enjoy staking rewards without the constraints of lockups, providing total flexibility for your holdings.
No, we don’t support specific trading pairs or order books for xAsset at this time. However, when you deposit an xAsset into your OKX account, it will automatically convert to its native asset, which you can then trade as usual.
No. You only pay a standard withdrawal fee when moving your assets to a blockchain. OKX does not charge any additional fees for the xAsset conversion itself.
CertiK, MoveBit, MixBytes, and Zellic are independent auditors for xAsset. Smart contract audits were completed on May 19, 2025. Zellic specifically audits xAsset EVM contracts.
