Official announcement of the closing of (my) Sonic Chinese community Hi everyone, if you know me, I have been supporting Fantom and Sonic for a very long time, more than 4 years. I have been following and helping Fantom/Sonic projects, I have kept advertising the Chinese group, I have allowed Sonic projects to advertise freely, I have paid an admin to handle the group out of my own pocket all these years, etc. However, it seems @SonicLabs does not recognize my contribution and has put me in a very difficult situation, which has led me to decide to shut down the Sonic Chinese Community. Here are the reasons why: New Chinese group to replace the existing group or asking for the transfer of my existing ownership to the Sonic Team. In the past, it was discussed that my group would be the Chinese group where the "Official" one that has been abandoned would not be used. However, the newly appointed Chinese BD suddenly came in and thanked me for my effort and said they would open another Chinese group, who just joined the Chinese group for less than a day. We then went for a voice chat, and there are certain things I learned from the Chinese BD. I mean, she is nice and I do not want to say anything bad about her. But she knows little about the Sonic ecosystem, and she didn't even know about the existence of the Chinese group. During the conversation, she required me to transfer the ownership of the group, and I would be the admin to handle the group so they wouldn't revive the "Official" group. I said no, and she asked me why. This is the most unfair conversation that I have had in the world. Someone just wants to steal my 4 years of effort without doing anything and asks me why. This is the first reason. FUD about me in the Sonic Ambassador Group. The second reason is that the newly appointed ambassador keeps spreading FUD about me, and it is somehow allowed in the Ambassador Group. The Sonic Ambassador Mr.33 is accusing me of deleting messages and kicking people from advertising $MLH, which he is the project owner. He claims that I only allow those who give me money to advertise. This is totally nonsense; I have, in fact, let them advertise from the start and still have not deleted anything. This guy Mr.33 has been accused by groupmates of creating sub-accounts that are newly joined to advertise his project (this is a very common method of advertising scams if you have experience managing a group). Even in this case, I have been helping them and asking everyone to calm down. If I had kicked someone for not allowing advertising $MLH, all of them should have been kicked. However, only XY33 was kicked because of his bad wording. I was like, what the heck is this guy saying? I have not spread FUD about the project a single word, haha. This guy is creating sub-accounts and spreading FUD about me with false information, and he is appointed to be one of the Sonic Ambassadors. If @SonicAssistant can investigate this issue, I would appreciate it. There is another FUD in that group saying I advertise a scam project $MILK. $MILK is a project that has $SNAKE and $HOG members as their team, which these guys probably do not know since they do not know much about the Sonic ecosystem. So this is not my project. I am just an investor in the project that lost money. Someone there is saying that they wouldn't invest in any projects shown in the Chinese group. Well then, you should not have invested in $OIL, $Shadow, $Snake, etc. this year. So this is the second reason. Anyway, thank you $Fantom, thank you $Sonic; if there were no Fantom, I would not be here. Thank you, Jane, thank you @SjHarcourt, for always being helpful. Feel free to create the official Chinese group. My Sonic Chinese group will be changed to my own group. My group will keep following Sonic, so Sonic projects are also welcome to advertise since most here have been playing Sonic for years. But in the meantime, we will start focusing on other chains. I will also keep following FT and other stuff that @AndreCronjeTech will bring, which makes me excited. Sorry for your time, and thank you for reading 🙂
