Held off posting for a couple of days since the Atia's Legacy playtest ended. I spent so much time glued to that game, I wanted to get my thoughts concise before sharing. Some highlights + things you should be excited for: Strategic combat - squadding up, gear and adjusting formations was way more addictive than expected. The urge to “get it right” takes over (!). Lunacia - beautiful and alive. There's been work put into this scenery, it's unique. Seeing other players set the scene for the MMO perfectly. Huge opp. here to onboard new Axie players through lore, NPCs and exploration. (Especially for those who haven't played the previous games). Graphics/sound - immersive and cosy. I’ve never played a mobile game with this much action that also felt so easy on the eyes. Even on iOS, barely any hiccups, it was smooth. Impressive for first test. Yes, it’s still early. But this felt more like the foundation of Axie's next era, rather than just a "test". I’m excited for progression and the potential layering e.g. more social aspects, guild involvement, economy loops... Takeaway: Axies are action-led, but they’re also loveable little creatures with a lot of personality. Fast becoming one of my favourite IPs.
