did you know that the @ethereumfndn is building a privacy + interop enabled wallet?
the name is kohaku.
it is a research wallet and will be open source like everything else in ethereum, the things pioneered here can be used by anyone!
kohaku is a prototype that will:
> test new standards for privacy and crosschain interop
> experiment with the best UX ideas
> share progress with other wallet teams (not compete with them)
early features include:
> interoperable addresses (alice.eth@arbitrum, bob.eth@zksync)
> crosschain sends with open intents
> see your balances across chains in one place
future experiments:
> private sends and receives
> crosschain swaps
> social recovery, gas abstraction
its currently built as a fork of @ambire !
kohaku shows what wallets could look like when ethereum privacy + interop become real.
more importantly, it shows protocol researchers getting in the UX arena directly, a bullish sign for accelerating end<>end development.
