I first came across @cronokirby's work a number of years ago when I stumbled upon his (excellent) CGGMP21 implementation. Specified in a 70-page paper (in both 4 and 7-round variants), coding CGGMP21 isn't for the faint of heart (let alone tweaking it).
What I didn't know at that time, however, was that Lúcás channeled that experience into designing (and implementing) a novel threshold ECDSA scheme using "Beaver Triples" (CAIT-SITH) to reduce signature generation latency (and complexity). I have no idea what a "Beaver Triple" is but NEAR's Chain Signatures are based on the CAIT-SITH scheme.
For the last year, I've been moonlighting as @commonwarexyz's cryptographer. Fortunately, that time has come to an end.
Excited to have joined @commonwarexyz, where I'll be tinkering around with cool cryptography and blockchain primitives 😎
