📢@PortaltoBitcoin had to change the testnet model – because it was too successful. @PortaltoBitcoin Testnet v2 was designed to simulate the operation of a multi-chain decentralized DEX (BTC, ETH, Solana, Lightning...). But the overload due to the huge number of users caused many problems for the system: Major problems: Faucet & spam bot abuse: Test token withdrawal requests skyrocketed, bot attacks exhausted resources. Token distribution bottleneck: The 5-chain ecosystem is too complex, unable to distribute test tokens fast enough. Infrastructure strain: Over 900,000 active wallets/day caused network overload, increased latency and reduced performance. Wasted core dev resources: Testnet maintenance slowed down Mainnet development. ✅ Even though it is not public, Testnet v2 still brings: Confirmation of stable swap operation Recognizing the limitations of public testnet infrastructure Need a new model to continue testing ✅New solution: Private Testnet (v3) Portal switches to a private testnet model, does not encourage farming, only invites important devs/partners. Highlights: Controlled (invited to participate) Optimized for devs & real-world integration Does not interrupt Mainnet progress ✅Goal: Mainnet is the number 1 priority All changes are to serve the launch of a solid, safe and efficient Mainnet.
