The bigger problem is that the altcoins in the crypto space currently cannot keep up with ETH; $PePe and $Aave, which were previously Ethereum's Betas, have not shown any significant outperformance this time, so they can only be considered as not falling behind. Others like $Uni and $Link are even more so, to the point where their shadows can't even be found.
