You could be the next @AlexOnchain anon.
Look at the KOL data from Dexu and see how to replicate it.
Alexonchain has:
- 1770 smart followers
- Reputation score of 61%
- Activity score 42%
- Dexu KOL score of 57%
Interestingly, when you look at accounts they interact with the most (close friends), it doesn't include many Coinbase related accounts, but still many US based accounts (location matters).
They haven't been super active on CT neither -> Focus on quality.
Their recent follower growth mostly came after the announcement -> Do not focus on # of followers
But here is where it gets interesting.
$COIN is the projects they have written about the most.
Few things you want to be the next @AlexOnchain @0xBreadguy :
- A high number of smart followers. Your network matters. Aim for >1k
- Quality over quantity
- First build your conviction and then mainly post about those projects of interest
- Add value to the CT conversations

I have a confession: I’ve actually joined @coinbase full time as CT Lead
Normal job announcements are boring. I had to do something different, and a twitter takeover felt right
So, why Coinbase?
They’re the best in the industry. But, they’ve been getting a lot of stick. Part of the solution is right here on twitter
The new focus is making comms more social native - direct, transparent and engaging. That's the path to building a bigger appreciation for everything they’ve contributed to this space (which is a lot), and to help reconnect with ct. They’re already working on it, and I’ve joined to be a part of that change
It’s a big job, it won’t be easy, and that’s why I took it. I spent an entire year wondering where I was going to work next. This is how I started thinking about it:
- I want to solve unique, challenging problems
- I want exposure to the smartest people possible
- The position should be high leverage (do well = can have a big impact)
- I need to farm skills. If I'm not learning, I'm not interested
- I need to be able to have fun. Non-negotiable. No corporate BS, no ridiculous content review processes, etc
Thinking selfishly, there was a lot I wanted to get out of my next job. The trick is to find a place where your ‘selfish’ needs align with their culture and what they want to get out of you. For me, that place is Coinbase
I love Coinbase’s mission and purpose. They’ve undeniably played a huge part in the rise of crypto, and I know they’ll keep doing everything possible to grow this space. I personally owe a lot to the crypto industry, so I deeply appreciate all Coinbase has contributed, while literally defining and setting the standards of good behaviour
By nature of a role like this, I’ll get exposure to all kinds of new things and seriously smart people across the business. And I’ll get to work directly with the exec team, which is something I simply couldn’t say no to
I’m grateful to have been given this opportunity. It feels like a perfect fit. There’s a clear problem to solve, a huge potential to be unlocked by doing so, and it’ll be a net benefit to all of crypto
This should be fun. Back to work 🫡
