[IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT] Today is a tough day. After rounds of discussions, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down operations for Top Hat. All development will stop effective today. Model and API maintenance will continue until July 17, and we recommend users migrate their agents before that date. We’re here to help anyone who needs assistance during this transition. Top Hat began as a community experiment. We had no investors, no paid marketing, and no private token deals. We fair-launched on Pumpfun, locked the treasury from day one, and watched as 15,000+ people joined us in building AI agents from scratch. Top Hat spearheaded the agentic meta on Solana with easy UX and powerful customization, fulfilling our goal to make AI agents accessible to anyone regardless of technical background. The project was fully bootstrapped, and the team personally covered infrastructure and operational costs for most of its life. We knew the tradeoffs, but believed in building in the public and giving the community full ownership from day one. In the end, high infrastructure costs and a constrained treasury made continued development unsustainable. It wasn’t an easy call, and we debated it intensely. To honor the community, the remaining tokens in the treasury will remain untouched aside from necessary maintenance costs. We're deeply proud of what this community built together, and grateful to everyone who contributed and experimented with us.
