With how often people download games/mods, securing crypto wallets on a gaming PC is a recipe for disaster.
Use a dedicated computer for crypto. Or, even better, use hardware wallets to keep your keys offline or MPC/multisig to reduce single points of failure.
🚨 I just got drained of 118 $SOL across 4 wallets. 🚨
The attacker compromised the Phantom extension and somehow gained access to all my private keys, completely emptying my wallets.
But the scariest part? I have no idea how the malware was installed… until now.
The only thing I installed recently was the old MW3 game via Steam. After some digging on Reddit, I found this is a known vector for a wallet-draining malware.
