My cancellable take is that decentralizations main value prop is as a recruiting strategy How else can you identify top performers who also vibe with your culture? As an applicant, isn't writing in a governance forum or contributing to GitHub repos a much better way to get a job than interviews, coding tests, etc? And as an employer, aren't you more secure hiring someone whose already delivered value? A legion of part time contributors, however well intentioned & awesome, doesn't cut it in a competitive space TL;DR: decentralized entities need an explicit pipeline for converting talented contributors to full time staff For eg, @EntropyAdvisors proved their worth thru part time contributions at arbitrum dao & then became full time OSS developers for Ethereums core protocol make contributions for at least 6 months and get to then earn money from protocol guild We need more such pipelines or else decentralization becomes something nice to do and not a competitive advantage
