Strong earnings, softer payrolls and reduced rate-hike expectations supported the move, while options traders added exposure to further gains.
My read: earnings upgrades can provide a firmer foundation than policy hopes or positioning flows, which may fade quickly. If profit expectations stop improving, high-level consolidation would be healthier than a momentum-driven chase. Not advice, just analysis.
