This is actually insane.
Even though a huge number of longs just got liquidated during this pullback, the balance between long and short
liquidations remains surprisingly even.
In fact, although you might have thought that short liquidations would outweigh long liquidations at this point, it’s actually the other way around.
If price dumps from current levels towards $79.5k and sweeps the recent low, a total of roughly $5B in longs would get wiped out of the market.
