OKX’s own Web3 material says the one-time 65.25M OKB burn reduced supply by about 52% to a fixed 21M OKB, making scarcity a major part of the new tokenomics.
That can explain the sharp repricing: fewer tokens + unchanged/increased demand = potentially stronger scarcity effect. OKB has also been among the stronger crypto performers recently.
However, a burn doesn't guarantee the price keeps rising. After a major supply-driven move, profit-taking and volatility can be substantial.
So the key things to watch are:
Whether OKB can hold above $100
Whether trading volume remains elevated
Whether the new 21M supply structure translates into sustained ecosystem demand
In short: **the burn changes the tokenomics fundamentally; the next question is whether demand can justify the new valuation.**
