Redakční poznámka: V časných ranních hodinách 20. srpna podle pekingského času se v Bílém domě konalo setkání vedoucích představitelů kryptoměnového průmyslu, kterého se osobně zúčastnil a promluvil i Trump. Na setkání byli přítomni vládní představitelé jako SEC, CFTC, zástupci průmyslu jako Robinhood, Coinbase, Ripple, Gemini, a16z, stejně jako vrcholoví představitelé tradičních finančních institucí jako Intercontinental Exchange a Nasdaq. Pravděpodobně v důsledku tohoto jasného pozitivního signálu kryptoměnový průmysl během noci výrazně vzrostl, BTC krátce překročil hranici 70 000 USD a ETH zaznamenal téměř 20% nárůst. Yesterday’s, White House crypto meeting gave me a much clearer idea of which alts i want on my watchlist right now
Trump met with some of the biggest names across crypto and traditional finance.
Coinbase, Ripple, Robinhood, Chainlink, Kraken, Gemini, a16z, Paradigm, Nasdaq and ICE/NYSE were represented, alongside the SEC and CFTC chairs..
what actually came out of it:
- Trump pushed for a “fair” CLARITY Act
- the SEC is working on easier rules for token launches
- the CFTC is exploring how to bring perps onshore
- bringing Hyperliquid into the US legally was mentioned
- buying sizable amounts of BTC and other crypto has been discussed
so these are the coins i’m watching around it:
$HYPE : the clearest direct play. legal US access could bring new users and institutional products, while protocol fees continue buying and burning HYPE.
$LIT - Lighter’s founder sits on the CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee. add Robinhood distribution and daily fee-funded buybacks that are later burned.
$LINK - Sergey was in the room. stablecoins, tokenized stocks and funds all need reliable data and connectivity, while network revenue is now accumulating LINK through the Chainlink Reserve.
$ETH - most stablecoins, DeFi and tokenized assets still settle around Ethereum. staking ETFs and Glamsterdam give it separate catalysts too.
$SOL - the higher-beta ecosystem bet. Alpenglow, growing stablecoin activity and tokenized assets, plus the retail and memecoin activity that usually returns when risk appetite improves.
$ONDO - probably the cleanest pure tokenization narrative. its products are already expanding into the regulated US market, although direct value capture for ONDO still needs work.
$AAVE - V4 is now live and better suited for institutional and RWA-backed credit. i’d become more interested in the token if its paused buybacks return.
$PUMP - the pure risk-on bet. 50% of protocol fees currently buy and burn PUMP, so another memecoin wave would feed directly into token demand. unlocks remain the main risk.
for now $HYPE / $LIT / $PUMP are the 3 i’m watching closest..
will keep adding names only when i find a real catalyst behind them.
