Why ETH, Not BTC?
BTC also rose, but less than 4%, while ETH gained over 8%. The difference appears to be positioning, not macro sentiment.
ETH’s funding rate had turned negative before the move, showing that traders were heavily short. As ETH climbed, those shorts were forced to cover, accelerating the rally.
In short: too many traders were betting against ETH—and got squeezed.
